Program Description

The 2-Week Intensive has been designed to provide a rich, intensive experience of classical and contemporary training.  It includes daily classes (Monday through Friday) in ballet technique, pointe/pre-pointe and variations, as well as a daily master classes in multiple genres. 

Master Classes will include Improv, Pilates, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Pro Dance Team.  Student choreography is also welcomed and encouraged.  In addition, there will be special classes in performance preparation, including stage makeup, understanding backstage, pointe shoe care, etc.

Who is this for?

This program is for intermediate to advanced dancers and is required for all 2023-2024 SMDC Company students.

New Company students for the 23-24 season will have a separate half day afternoon session

Ensemble dancers (levels 1 & 2) pending teacher approval.

Non SMDC students, pending an evaluation.

June 12th - 23rd 9:00am - 3:00 pm

 

Tuition:

2 Weeks/10 day camp (60 hours of instructions) $600

Prep AM Program (30 hours of instruction) $300

 

Intensive tuition can be paid in two installments. Installment #1 on May 1st and Installment #2 on June 1st. Please make any schedule adjustments prior to 6/1 or you will be charged a $100 cancelation fee.
